Yes, that’s what most people have to say about relocating
to Brevard County. With our 72 miles of ocean coastline, mirrored
by another 72 miles of shoreline along the Indian and Banana
Rivers, we are a recreational paradise. Fishing, boating, surfing
and naturing are among the noteworthy leisure activities of
Brevardians…but there is much more.
We are a high-tech jobs with over 15 Fortune 500 companies
headed by giant Harris Corporation which is a pioneer in
satellite technology and communications). We have good schools.
We have excellent medical facilities and practitioners which
continue to expand, and all of the jobs associated with the
medical infrastructure.
We have the Kennedy Space Center…we have NASA…we
have a major airport…we have both a commercial port
and a cruise ship port offering cruises to the Bahamas and
elsewhere. We have a zoo, a performing arts center attracting
big names, colleges and junior colleges, two major malls,
and proximity to the attractions in Orlando (1-hour to the
north), as well as beaches and shopping to the south in West
Palm and Miami.
We have a robust and diverse housing stock offering something
for everyone. You can almost buy a home here for under $100,000;
but you can also buy a $3,000,000 oceanfront estate. Your
choices in between cover a diversity of new home communities,
existing gated communities, older construction, ocean and
river condominiums…the list goes on and on, ranging
generally in the $150,000 to $350,000 range. And our property
values just continue to rise as we grow and become more ‘discovered.’
What we DO NOT have is high traffic, high crime and the
high anxiety caused by overcrowding.
